What exactly does SquidMail do?

SquidMail automatically reads your incoming Outlook emails (subject + preview), classifies them using AI, moves them to the right folders, and—if configured—drafts smart replies or even quotes based on the message content.

Do I need to install anything?

Nope! SquidMail works entirely in the background. There 's no plugin or app to install. It connects to your Outlook mailbox securely and does its thing quietly (like a very polite cephalopod).

Can SquidMail send emails on my behalf?

Not by default. SquidMail only creates draft replies — you stay in control of what gets sent. Want to auto-send? That 's an optional setting you can turn on per workflow.

Is it secure?

Yes. SquidMail uses Microsoft 's secure OAuth flow to access your mailbox and never stores your full emails. At squidMail we value your privacy and security. Therefore we do not store any emails on our servers and process only the bare minimum required to function.

For inbound emails the following info is passed to the AI model:

• Subject
• Preview (first 255 characters)
• Sender
• Date
• Attachments (if applicable)

We store the following info for logging purposes:

• Obfuscated Email address of the sender. e.g. 'john.doe@example.com' becomes 'j***@s***.com'
• Date and time of the email
• target folder

What do I need to get started?

Just an Outlook account (Microsoft 365 or personal) and a few clicks to connect your mailbox. From there, you can set up rules, enable reply-drafting, and let SquidMail take it from there.

There 's a free plan that handles up to 100 emails per month. Need more tentacles? Our paid plan covers 1,000 emails/month and unlocks advanced workflows — all for €5/month (VAT included).

What if I stop using it?

You can disconnect SquidMail anytime. We 'll stop accessing your mailbox, and any drafts or tags we created will remain in your Outlook account — nothing gets deleted.
